Minutes of Board Meeting January 21, 2013

Meeting called to order 7:02 p.m.
Discussion of upcoming PBCA events
Wayne discussed the PBCA directory. Wayne has sent out the call for advertising, has five ads sold so far, but is looking for more. Need to send out directory verification letter to have residents update their information and to find new residents. Need to collect the data before the directory can be created. Data needs to be sent in by February 15, 2013. Wayne will also send a message out via the neighborhood website listserv for people to update their information. Wayne will attempt to accommodate two listings for each household if adults with different last names are associated with one property – space allowing.
Ramon gave a treasurer’s report. The association ran a deficit in 2012 of $1,819 – mostly due to much greater than expected landscaping expenses. Increasing the dues to $75 will cover all increases in costs expected in 2013 and will also allow the association to replace the rainy day fund that was depleted over the past four years.
Discussion of a donation from the association to the Hampden Fire Department of $150. Given how important the fire department is to the neighborhood and the annual visit from Santa via the Hampden Fire Department, this is money well spent.
Discussion of mulch for Hidden Park, Pavilion Park and the Front Park. The mulch for Pavilion Park will include a shipment of mulch to Front Park in order to save on delivery costs. Volunteers from the neighborhood will spread the mulch for free.

April 1 – Deadline for neighborhood annual dues
March 24 – Pine Brook Easter egg roll – Pavilion
April 12 – Friday evening Mulch day and party at Hidden Park 5-8pm Saturday as rain date 4-7 pm.
April 19 – Friday evening Mulch day for Pavilion Park 5-8 pm (rain date Saturday)
April 20 – Saturday 10 am – Noon at Front Park
May 3, May 4 – Spring Yard sale
May 7 – begin Tuesday nights at the Pavilion.
VARIOUS: Pine Brook Regatta (Float and swim in the creek)
August 28 – Annual meeting letter mailed.
September 7 – Neighborhood Picnic
October 7 – Annual Meeting. Election of board, President and Vice-president
October 11, 12 – Fall yard sale

December 2 or 9: Operation Ho-Ho-Ho & Caroling – at Pavilion. 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Make signs)
