Board meeting minutes July 11, 2016

Meeting started 7:05

Discussion of dues.  Still have not met budget requirements.  Getting ready to sendt out another dues letter.

Discussion of methods for receiving dues via electronic means.  The downside is there will be a small fee, but the positive is that people would receive a link they can click on right away to send in their dues.  Will most likely increase participation and faster collection of dues.  The board is considering testing the system in the last half of this year to see if it increases dues collection.

Discussion of insurance coverage for group coverage at parks.  For people renting or using the parks, people not living in the neighborhood may need additional coverage from the homeowner’s home insurance of the person holding the event.  Ask your agent for “event coverage” for individual events. 

Discussion of new Facebook group “Pine Brookians” of people who grew up in Pine Brook.  Lots of pictures from the past.  This was created by a private person. 

Discussion of summer picnic.  Could use more input from residents, especially new parents in the neighborhood.  Need help with kid’s games and bike parade.  May hold a planning meeting on August 8, 2016, at Pavilion Park at 7 p.m.
